Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
ScienceForge is operated by Science Forge ("we", "us"). When you use ScienceForge you are contracting with Science Forge. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. If you are under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to use the service.
2. What ScienceForge is
ScienceForge is a GCSE Science revision platform for UK students. It provides revision notes, quizzes, flashcards, exam-style questions, past-paper links, a revision planner and AI-powered study tools. Content marked "official" is based on published exam-board specifications; content marked "ScienceForge" is our own original material. ScienceForge is a study aid — it is not a substitute for teaching, and we do not guarantee any exam result.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate information when signing up and keep it up to date.
- Keep your login credentials confidential — you are responsible for activity under your account.
- One account per person; don't share accounts.
4. Acceptable use
You must not misuse ScienceForge. That includes:
- Using the service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or to spam others.
- Infringing anyone's intellectual property rights.
- Introducing malware, probing or attacking our systems, or scraping the service.
- Reverse engineering, reselling or redistributing the service or its content.
- Attempting to bypass plan limits or other technical restrictions.
5. AI features
ScienceForge includes AI tools (tutor chat, question generation, answer marking, flashcard generation). AI output can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Always check important facts against your official exam-board specification and your teacher's guidance. AI marking of written answers is practice feedback only — it is not an official grade. You are responsible for what you ask the AI and how you use its output. Do not use the AI tools to produce illegal, harmful or infringing content.
6. Intellectual property
We own ScienceForge and its content (software, notes, questions, branding). We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own revision while your account is active. Exam-board specifications and past papers remain the property of the relevant exam boards.
7. Payments and subscriptions
Paid plans are sold through Paddle.com, our online reseller. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms (paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms) together with our Refund Policy.
8. Availability
We work hard to keep ScienceForge running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and we'll try to give notice of significant changes.
9. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, pose a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly or seriously violate our policies. You can delete your account at any time. When access ends, your data is handled as described in our Privacy Notice.
10. Liability
The service is provided "as is" and we disclaim implied warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or data). Our total liability is capped at the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
11. General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales. You may not transfer your account without our consent; we may assign these terms in connection with a merger or acquisition. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
